Find the dog park entrance
Enter Otto Armleder Memorial Park from Wooster Pike and follow Armleder Road into the recreation complex. The official map places the dog park west of the shared-use trail and south of the soccer fields, with a parking area directly beside the fenced runs. Keep your dog leashed between the vehicle and the entry gate.
Get directions to Armleder Dog Park. Use the official park map and posted signs for the final approach.

Large and small dog areas
Choose the posted section that fits your dog. The 10-acre footprint gives dogs room to run, and park managers may rotate or close portions while grass recovers. A separate two-acre fenced dog pen can also be reserved through Great Parks, so follow signs if part of the complex is reserved or unavailable.
Shade trees and benches provide places to pause, while the drinking fountains and canine shower help with water and cleanup. Bring backup water because outdoor fixtures can be shut off seasonally or during maintenance.
Rules before you enter
Cincinnati requires dogs to remain leashed while entering and exiting. Off-leash dogs must stay under their handler’s control, and handlers must remain inside with their dogs in view. Remove a dog at the first sign of aggression, clean up waste and fill any holes your dog digs.
Dogs must have current vaccinations and an owner identification tag or embedded microchip. Female dogs in heat are prohibited. Children younger than 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Dog parks may close for maintenance. Review the current Cincinnati Park Board dog park rules before visiting.
Weather and river conditions
Otto Armleder Memorial Park lies beside the Little Miami River. Wet weather can leave worn areas muddy, and high water may affect park or trail access. Check Great Parks alerts and posted notices before traveling after heavy rain.
What other park goers say
Visitors frequently praise the unusually large running space, separate small-dog area, shade, benches, water stations and wash area. Park goers also like the adjacent paved trails when they want a leashed walk before or after off-leash play.
Other visitors mention mud, standing water, temporary section rotations and closures after wet weather. Because the park is large, stay close enough to see and control your dog. Read current visitor reviews and check alerts before leaving home.
