Northtown Dog Park is the municipal utility district’s only designated off-leash area. The fenced park has separate play spaces for dogs 25 pounds and under and dogs over 25 pounds, with agility equipment on both sides. Water, shade and play areas
Each size area contains agility equipment. The district’s dog water fountain sits outside the fence, so fill a bowl before entering and bring backup water in hot weather. The wider park includes mature trees, but shade inside either enclosure can vary by time of day.
The official master plan notes drainage problems in parts of 50 Acre Park. After rain, confirm the park has reopened rather than relying on a normal weekly schedule.
Rules before you enter
Keep your dog leashed until you are inside the correct enclosure, and close and latch every gate. Dogs must display current license and vaccination tags, and handlers may be asked for vaccination proof. Clean up waste immediately and keep control of your dog throughout the visit.
