Get directions to City of Katy Off-Leash Dog Park. You can also open the City of Katy parks map, which marks the off-leash park on Franz Road.
Grass, trails and agility play
The large grassy footprint gives dogs room to run while handlers follow the loop. An agility course on the west side adds jumps and other training obstacles. The preserved exact-park photo shows a dog beside the paved path, broad lawn, mature shade trees, benches and other park users.
Wading pool and wash stations
The wading pool is designed for dogs and can be popular in hot weather. Check the water before allowing your dog to enter, avoid water with visible algae or poor circulation and rinse your dog afterward. The custom wash stations help remove mud before the trip home.
What park visitors say
Park goers praise the generous space, mature shade, walking loop, wading pool and agility equipment. Visitors also recommend watching the size-area gates because some handlers do not always follow the posted division. Recent comments describe the park as a favorite for active dogs, while reminding guests to check the pool and gate latches before play.
Before you enter
Use the section marked for your dog’s size, supervise continuously and remove waste. Keep the gate area clear, leash your dog outside the enclosure and leave if play becomes unsafe. Check posted notices for temporary closures, maintenance or water-service changes.
