Beau’s Dream Dog Park is a free, fenced off-leash park inside Buchanan Park in Lancaster. Separate small- and large-dog areas each have a splash pad, and the colorful artificial-turf layout includes play features, shaded seating and open space for social dogs.

Find the dog park entrance
The dog park is inside Buchanan Park at 901 Buchanan Avenue, near Franklin & Marshall College. Use directions to Beau’s Dream Dog Park, then follow the park paths and signs to the colorful fenced enclosure. Keep your dog leashed elsewhere in Buchanan Park and until you are safely through the gate.
Two play areas with splash pads
Both size-based sections have water-play features, so small dogs do not have to enter the large-dog area to cool off. The larger side offers more room and play structures, while the separate small-dog section gives lighter dogs their own enclosure. Choose the posted area that best fits your dog and watch introductions closely.
Turf, shade and cleanup
Artificial turf helps limit ordinary grass mud, though wet paws and splash-pad water still make towels useful. Shade structures and seating give handlers places to take a break without leaving the enclosure. Water features can be unavailable during repairs or cold conditions, so check current conditions and pack drinking water.
Rules before you enter
Dogs must be licensed, wear current tags and have up-to-date vaccinations. They must be spayed or neutered. Puppies under four months and dogs in heat are prohibited. Carry a leash, keep your dog in sight and under voice control, remove waste and immediately leave with a dog showing aggression. Food and glass containers are not allowed. Children 12 and younger must be supervised and should not run inside the dog park.
