Fred Quinn Happy Tails Dog Park is a three-acre fenced off-leash area inside Joe B. Barnes Regional Park in Midwest City. It has separate spaces for large dogs, small or less-active dogs, and water play, along with shaded seating, agility-style features, rinse stations and waste supplies.

Choose the right play area
Use the small-dog section for dogs 30 pounds or less, as well as larger dogs that are elderly or have a disability. The other fenced sections provide open running space and water play. Follow posted signs when the pond, fountains or part of the park is unavailable.
The park includes covered entrances, shaded seating, bridges, tunnels and other obstacles. Rinse stations help after water or mud, but bring a towel and backup water because outdoor fixtures may be shut off during winter or maintenance.
Rules before you enter
Dogs must be older than four months and wear a collar with a current rabies tag. Choke, prong and clip-style collars are prohibited; the city recommends flat buckle or breakaway collars. Female dogs in heat are not allowed.
Handlers must remain in the dog park, keep their dogs under control and limit their group to two dogs. Leash and remove a dog immediately at signs of aggression. Clean up waste, fill holes and keep food, rawhides, alcohol, glass and smoking outside the park. Anyone younger than 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Water and weather planning
The water-play section is a major feature during warm weather, but visitors report that water may be turned off in winter or during maintenance. Bring your own drinking water and bowl, and check the pond before allowing your dog to enter. Mud can collect after rain, so pack a towel and inspect your dog’s paws before returning to the car.
