Get directions to Rose West Dog Park. Check posted notices for maintenance work or temporary changes before entering.
Separate play areas and walking paths
The fenced layout gives large and small dogs their own play spaces. Paved paths loop through the park, allowing handlers to keep moving while supervising play. Visitors also describe benches, picnic tables, waste-bag stations and dog drinking areas.
Dogs weighing more than 30 pounds must stay out of the small-dog area. Small-dog owners who choose the large-dog area assume the added risk identified in the city rules.
Heat, shade and what to bring
Bring a leash, waste bags, drinking water and a bowl. Park goers frequently praise the open space but mention limited shade, especially during Oklahoma’s hotter months. Plan early or late visits when temperatures are lower, and never rely on a shared water source being available or working.
After rain, some low areas can become muddy. A towel and washable footwear can make the trip home easier.
What park goers say
Visitors consistently mention the large play spaces, separate size areas, paved paths and clean, well-maintained grounds. Water stations, waste bags and room for fetch are common positives. Regulars also appreciate being able to walk laps while their dogs play.
Limited shade, summer heat, occasional mud and nearby road noise are the most common cautions. Reviews reflect individual visits, so check current conditions and the city’s page before a long drive.
