What park goers say
Park goers praise the open running space, shade, pond, agility equipment, separate small-dog area, water fountain, rinse station and friendly visitors. Many describe it as a useful road-trip stop.
Common cautions include mud, seasonal water shutoffs, waste and pond quality. Bring towels, drinking water and waste bags, and skip the pond if water conditions look poor.
Rules before you enter
The City requires dogs to be vaccinated, wearing a rabies tag and leashed before entering and leaving. Owners must remain inside, maintain visual contact, carry a leash, close gates and clean up waste. No more than two dogs per adult handler are allowed.
Puppies under four months, dogs in heat, aggressive dogs, spiked collars and retractable leashes are prohibited. Children ages five through twelve require adult supervision; bringing younger children is discouraged.
