Fish Lake Dog Off-leash Area is a 6.7-acre fenced dog park inside Fish Lake Regional Park in Maple Grove. It combines a wooded off-leash trail with open play space and a separate enclosure for small or frail dogs. A Three Rivers Park District daily or annual dog-area pass is required.

- Water and restroom: The official map marks drinking water and a flush toilet near the entrance. Availability can be seasonal, so bring backup water.

Find the dog park entrance
Enter Fish Lake Regional Park from Bass Lake Road and follow Fish Lake Park Road toward the dog off-leash area. The dedicated map shows parking beside the fenced area, with another lot farther north. Keep your dog leashed through the parking lot and approach the double-gated entrance only after checking for dogs entering or leaving.
Passes and entry rules
Pass fees are per household, but each family member age 16 or older needs their own pass card. Annual passes are valid for 365 days. Day passes can be purchased online or at the off-leash entrance pay box; current purchase details are available on the district’s dog off-leash page.
Keep the leash on until the first gate closes behind you. Unleash inside the double-gated transition area, then move away from the gate so arriving dogs have room. Reverse the process when leaving and keep the leash on through the parking lot and wider regional park.
Rules before dogs play
Handlers may bring no more than two dogs and must maintain control. Carry proof of rabies vaccination, clean up waste and remove a dog showing aggressive behavior. Puppies too young for a rabies vaccination cannot enter. Children age 15 and younger need adult supervision, and most food should remain outside the dog area.
Three Rivers may close some or all of the area for weather or maintenance. Check current conditions before driving over. The larger Fish Lake swimming beach is a separate regional-park amenity; the official dog-area map does not show a dog-swimming pond inside the enclosure.

Visitors frequently like the mix of wooded paths and open running space. Reviewers say the enclosed loop makes it easy to walk while dogs explore, and families appreciate the separate small-dog area, nearby restroom and seasonal drinking water. Several describe the park as compact rather than expansive, which can make it easier to find a dog at departure time.
Other comments praise friendly regulars, sturdy perimeter fencing and clean paths.
