Bunker Hills Dog Park is a fenced six-acre off-leash area inside Bunker Hills Regional Park. The official master plan describes separate large- and small-dog areas, shade trees, open running space and walking trails for dogs and their people.

Find the dog park entrance
Use 133rd Avenue from Hanson Boulevard and follow signs toward the Anoka County compost site. The official regional-park map marks the off-leash dog park at the west edge of the park, just east of Hanson Boulevard. Keep your dog leashed until you are inside the fenced area.

Check the closing time
Current City sources conflict. The facility header says 6 a.m. until one-half hour after sunset, the current dog-regulations brochure says one-half hour before sunset, and the facility details also show 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Because those times do not agree, check the entrance sign or City page before a dawn or evening visit.
What park goers say
Park goers commonly praise the large wooded setting, separate small-dog area, open running space and paved perimeter trail. Visitors also mention shade, waste-bag stations, nearby parking and room to walk while dogs play.
Recurring cautions include mud after rain or snowmelt, burrs or rough vegetation, empty shared water jugs and holes near gathering areas. Bring drinking water, towels and waste bags, watch your footing and supervise closely during busy evenings and weekends.
Rules before you enter
The official facility rules require dogs to be vaccinated and legally licensed where applicable. Leash dogs when entering and leaving, carry a leash, remain in control and keep dogs in sight. Each handler may bring no more than three dogs.
Closely supervise children. Food and dog treats, digging, dogs in heat, persistent barking and aggressive or unruly behavior are prohibited. Remove waste, water containers, bowls, toys and other personal property when you leave.
