Stoll Off-Leash Dog Park is the fenced seven-acre dog area near the center of Thomas S. Stoll Memorial Park in Overland Park. The flat park includes a large grassy and wooded enclosure, a separate 1/3-acre small-dog area, a paved walking path and ample nearby parking.
Current park notice: JCPRD reports a temporary closure of the east pedestrian entrance and trails around the park pond while a failing overflow pipe is replaced. The dog area remains listed as open during regular hours, but follow all barriers and posted notices.

Find the dog park entrance
Enter Thomas S. Stoll Memorial Park from West 119th Street and follow the internal drive north toward the central parking lots. The off-leash area fills the long fenced space immediately west of those lots. Use the signed gate and the enclosed entry space to remove the leash only after the outer gate is closed.
Open directions to Stoll Off-Leash Dog Park. The east pedestrian entrance near the pond is temporarily closed during the current repair project, so arrive from the 119th Street park entrance unless JCPRD posts a change.

Large and small dog areas
The main enclosure gives dogs a mix of open running space, trees and a walking loop. The separate small-dog area is reserved for dogs that meet JCPRD’s size limit. Pause at the gate, watch the dogs already playing and choose the section that fits your dog rather than relying only on the enclosure label.
The pond shown on the park map is outside the fenced dog area and is not a dog-swimming amenity. Keep dogs leashed on the wider park trails and away from current pond-repair barriers.
What park goers say
Park goers often praise the amount of fenced space, the wooded paths, easy parking and the option to keep walking while dogs explore. Small-dog owners value the separate enclosure, and many visitors describe the park as social and active without requiring everyone to remain in one open field.
The most common practical complaint is mud after rain, especially around worn areas and seating. Visitors also note that drinking water can be unavailable in colder weather. Check the ground before entering, bring a towel and carry your own water. Read more visitor reviews.
Rules before you enter
JCPRD requires dogs to remain under their handler’s control and in view. Carry one leash per dog, bring no more than three dogs per handler, remove a dog at the first sign of serious unprovoked aggression and pick up waste.
Dogs younger than 12 weeks and female dogs in heat are not allowed. Current vaccinations must be shown by visible tags, children under 16 need adult supervision and food is prohibited inside the off-leash areas. Read the complete JCPRD code of conduct and the gate signs before entering.
