Find the dog park entrance
The official dog-area page places the park east of Sheffield and north of Wrightwood. Look for Noethling Park or Wiggly Field signs at the Sheffield Avenue address. Wiggly Field is this park’s local name, not a separate destination at the Wrigley Field baseball stadium.
Get directions to Wiggly Field Dog Park. Keep your dog leashed until inside the designated dog area. If driving, check nearby parking signs; do not count on a dedicated park lot.
Water and choosing a play space
A dog drinking fountain is listed by the Park District, but pack water in case it is unavailable. Visitors have also reported pools during summer visits; their availability is not guaranteed.
Check the signs and dogs already using each enclosure before entering. Parkgoers describe an additional fenced space, but reports differ about whether there are separate areas for different dog sizes. Do not assume there will be a reserved small-dog section. Surface descriptions also vary, so look over the ground before starting a long play session.
Rules before you enter
Chicago’s DFA rules and permit information require handlers to stay with their dogs, carry each dog’s permit, close gates and immediately remove waste. Leash your dog before entering and after leaving. No human or dog food is allowed inside, and each person may bring no more than three dogs.
