Morris Hill Dog Park is a one-acre fenced off-leash area inside Morris Hill Park on the Boise Bench. The dog park has a separate small-dog area, bark or mulch ground cover, agility features, benches, trees and a seasonal dog drinking fountain.

Enter Morris Hill Park from Roosevelt Street and follow the park signs toward the fenced dog area. The city lists the park at 10 N. Roosevelt Street. Use the on-site signs to distinguish the dog-park gate from the playground, open lawn and neighboring cemetery.

Small-dog area, surface and seasonal water
The separate small-dog area gives smaller dogs their own fenced space. Both sections use bark or mulch surfacing, which can become dusty, uneven or muddy depending on weather and maintenance. Check paws and eyes after play and remove splinters or debris promptly.
The dog fountain is seasonal. Bring a clean bowl and backup water, especially during hot weather or outside the mid-April to mid-October operating period. Do not rely on shared bowls being available or freshly cleaned.
What park goers say
Park goers often praise the agility obstacles, room to socialize, separate smaller-dog area, benches and friendly atmosphere. Visitors also like the covered picnic space and the nearby playground and restroom.
Some visitors report limited parking at busy times, concerns about shared water bowls, and irritation or mess from the bark surface. Others say supervision varies among dog owners. These are dated visitor reports, not confirmation of today’s conditions.
Rules before you enter
Boise requires dogs older than 16 weeks to have a current city license. Dogs must be leashed outside designated off-leash areas and while entering or leaving. Close gates, keep your dog in sight, remain with your dog, carry a leash and remove all waste. Owners are responsible for their dog’s behavior and any injury or damage it causes.
The city advises keeping dogs in heat or dogs that are not neutered away from other dogs. Remove pinch, spike and choke collars or halters before off-leash play. Smoking and vaping are prohibited in City of Boise parks.
