Three activity areas
The main large-dog section provides room for running and social play. A separate exercise area is intended for agility activity, and the small-dog section is marked for dogs weighing 25 pounds or less. Read the sign at each gate before entering and do not move a dog into a different section simply because another area looks quieter.
The City lists pavilions, restrooms and ample parking. Visitors also commonly report drinking-water stations and shaded seating, but bring backup water and a bowl in case a fountain is shut off or under maintenance. The water amenity is for drinking and rinsing; the official sources do not identify a dog-swimming area.
Rules and lightning safety
Dogs must be leashed while entering and leaving. Carry a leash, keep your dog within view, never leave a dog unattended, clean up waste and close every gate. Dogs must be vaccinated and display a current license. Remove a dog at the first sign of aggression; female dogs in heat and glass containers are prohibited.
Children younger than 12 must stay with an adult and should not approach an unfamiliar dog without the owner’s permission. The park has a lightning warning system. Seek shelter after one 15-second horn or when the strobe flashes, and return only after three five-second blasts or when the strobe stops.
