Find the dog park entrance
The dog park sits within Margaret Pace Park beside North Bayshore Drive and Biscayne Bay. The City lists the full park at 1745 North Bayshore Drive, while the fenced dog area is commonly mapped farther north along the same park frontage. Enter the waterfront park and follow the paths and dog-park signs to the two fenced runs.
Get directions to the dog-park entrance. Keep your dog leashed throughout the larger park and until the correct enclosure gate is fully closed.
Separate play areas and water
The half-acre dog area has separate spaces for smaller and larger dogs. Visitors describe benches, dog and human water fountains, waste stations and decorative fire-hydrant features. Bring backup water and a bowl because shared fountains may occasionally be unavailable.
The bayfront walking trails, picnic tables, outdoor gym, playground and sports courts are part of the larger Margaret Pace Park. Off-leash play belongs inside the fenced dog areas.
Parking, heat and waterfront conditions
The City says street-parking fees near Margaret Pace Park are collected by the Miami Parking Authority. Check signs and payment instructions carefully, and allow extra time at busy periods.
Miami heat and humidity can make midday play unsafe. Visit earlier or later when possible, bring water and check the ground before your dog runs. This is a waterfront park rather than a dog beach, so keep dogs out of the bay and follow shoreline signs.

Visitors frequently praise the bay views, separate size areas, social atmosphere and convenient water fountains. A June 2026 park visitor described the dog runs as clean and well maintained, with welcoming owners and nearby picnic tables and food options.
Other visitors have raised concerns about drainage or odor, inconsistent waste cleanup and dogs that are not closely supervised. These reports reflect individual visits. Watch your dog continuously, use a different area or return later if the group dynamic feels unsafe, and report maintenance problems to the City.

Use the enclosure that matches your dog’s size, close every gate behind you and supervise continuously. Pick up waste promptly, interrupt rough play early and leash your dog before leaving the fenced area. Posted City rules and temporary notices control if conditions have changed.
Bring a leash, waste bags, drinking water, a bowl and sun protection. Check whether the shared fountains are operating before your dog becomes overheated.
