City Park Dog Park is Pueblo’s fenced off-leash area at 301 South Parkside Lane, between the City Park pool and ball fields. It has separate areas for small and large dogs, accessible paths, drinking fountains, lighting, six dog-bone-shaped benches, trees and a shade structure.

Separate small- and large-dog areas
The park provides distinct fenced sections for small and large dogs. Follow the signs at each gate and choose the enclosure that matches your dog. Give arriving dogs room in the transition area and avoid holding gates open longer than necessary.
Accessible pathways and sidewalks connect the dog area with the surrounding City Park facilities. Lighting supports visits within the posted hours, but temporary maintenance or safety closures can still affect access.
Shade, benches, water and restrooms
Pueblo lists six dog-bone-shaped benches, several newer trees and a shade structure. The existing park photo shows mature shade, grass, seating, fencing and nearby restrooms or support buildings.
Dog drinking fountains are an official amenity, but water service can be interrupted by freezing weather or maintenance. Bring a filled bottle and bowl. Carry spare waste bags even when dispensers are available.
Rules before you enter
Dogs must be leashed while entering and exiting. Owners must remain inside the dog park, supervise their dogs and keep a leash ready. Handlers must be at least 18; children younger than 13 need continuous supervision from an adult age 18 or older.
Clean up waste immediately and remove an aggressive dog at once. Dogs should remain under voice control. Sick dogs, dogs in heat and puppies younger than four months are not allowed. Food, dog treats, alcohol and glass should remain outside the enclosure. Posted rules take priority if conditions change.

Common cautions include limited parking at busy times and occasional waste-cleanup problems.
