Find the dog park entrance
Use directions to West Arvada Dog Park. Enter from W. 64th Parkway and follow the parking and construction signs to the open entrance. During the accessibility project, use the east-side access and stay outside the closed west work area.
Play areas and walking paths
The park has broad off-leash fields with internal walking paths and more than one fenced play zone. Smaller enclosed spaces can help a dog settle before joining a larger group, but check posted signs because the purpose and availability of each section may change.
The city is adding accessible parking, a concrete holding-pen pad and a soft-surface route to the pavilion. The park is funded through donations and maintained with community volunteer support.
Rules before you enter
Arvada limits each adult to three dogs. Dogs must be licensed, spayed or neutered, vaccinated and wearing current rabies and identification tags. Puppies younger than four months, sick dogs, dogs in heat and aggressive dogs are prohibited.
Leash your dog while entering and exiting, remain inside the enclosure to supervise, and clean up waste immediately. Handlers younger than 18 must be supervised by an adult. Pinch, prong and spike collars are prohibited.
What parkgoers say
Parkgoers frequently praise the generous space, walking paths, multiple play zones, water stations, seating and Front Range views. Many describe friendly regulars, clean grounds and enough room for active dogs to spread out.
Common cautions include seasonal water shutoffs, exposed weather, dust or mud depending on conditions, and busy periods. Bring water, watch interactions closely and check the construction update before leaving. Read recent West Arvada Dog Park reviews for current visitor reports.
