Huntington Central Park Dog Park is the fenced off-leash area on Edwards Street at the edge of Huntington Central Park. The facility, also commonly called Best Friend Dog Park, has separate runs for large and small dogs.

The dog park is on the east side of Edwards Street between Ellis Avenue and Talbert Avenue. Use directions to the dog-park coordinates and look for the fenced runs. Keep your dog leashed in the surrounding park and while approaching the gates.

What to expect
The separate runs provide space for off-leash exercise beneath mature trees. Benches and water support longer visits, while wood-chip and dirt surfaces can become dusty, muddy or uneven. Inspect gates, footing and water operation when you arrive.
Rules and safety
Use the appropriate size area, supervise continuously, remove waste and close both gates. Keep dogs leashed outside the designated enclosure. Bring a bowl and backup water, and leave if another dog’s behavior makes play unsafe.
