Kroll Dog Park is a four-acre fenced off-leash park in southwest Bakersfield. Its large shared play area has rolling ground, grass and dirt, a perimeter walking path, water, waste bags, seating and shade around parts of the enclosure.

Use directions to the dog-park coordinates on Kroll Way near Gosford Road and Stockdale Highway. Keep your dog leashed outside the fence and close the staging gate before beginning play.
What to expect
The broad bowl-shaped enclosure gives dogs room to run while handlers can follow the walking path around the interior. Grass coverage changes with weather and irrigation. Trees and seating provide some relief, but Bakersfield heat can make exposed ground unsafe.
All dog sizes share the same space. Choose a quieter time if your dog is uncomfortable around larger dogs or busy groups, and move away from the gate before starting play.
Rules and safety
Bakersfield requires dogs to display a valid license and current vaccinations, including a rabies tag. Keep your dog in sight and under voice control, remove waste and leave if your dog becomes unruly. Aggressive dogs, dogs under four months and female dogs in heat are prohibited.
