What to expect
The fenced dog park has distinct play areas for smaller and larger dogs. A 2025-26 renovation added new turf, improved drainage and a concrete border around the play surface. Prescott also reported that the misting system was overhauled and returned to service. Bring drinking water as a backup because fountains, hoses or misters may be unavailable during maintenance or cold weather.
Shaded seating gives handlers a place to rest while dogs play. The surrounding park has restrooms, a playground, basketball courts, an athletic field and access to the Willow Lake Trail. Dogs must remain leashed outside the designated dog enclosure.
Rules and safety
Dogs must be older than four months, properly vaccinated and wearing license tags. Keep your dog in sight and never leave it unattended. If a dog becomes aggressive, leash it and leave immediately. Female dogs in heat and dogs with contagious conditions are not allowed.
Clean up waste, fill holes your dog digs and do not bring food or rawhide chews into the fenced area. Smoking is prohibited. Children require close adult supervision. Review the full rules, seasonal hours and maintenance details on the official Willow Creek Dog Park page.
What parkgoers say
Recent parkgoers commonly praise the separate play areas, clean upgraded turf, generous space and friendly atmosphere. Visitors also mention seating, shade, water access and shared toys. Some remind handlers to watch interactions closely and clean up promptly, especially when the park is busy.
